Other IBSG hats have included running our European Education sector work and UK&Ire activities cross-sector. Martin - Intersting question.  If "there" is habitual, passionate openness by the majority globally, wherever that's in the public and national interest, I'd say we'll be "here" for some time.  I tend to believe people WANT sunlight though, and that country-specific detonations as you describe them (eg Malaysia dragging, Oz streaming ...or the current furore around UK MPs' expenses) all help to lift the blinds a bit more - if that opporunity ...

The economic and social implications of our ageing society continue to grow. This is unchartered territory for which - like other macro issues like climate change and globalisation - networked communication technologies will play a huge part in addressing effectively.  Cisco's "Ageing Well" programme is addressing this premis; the attached POV outlines the considerations on which this work is based and is shared here f...

Society is ageing rapidly - a macro issue with huge social, economic and political implications. Having 85% additional people aged 60 or over (as the UN projects for 20 years time) will bring unprecedented challenges and opportunities, which cross cultures and sectors.  Today the significance is appreciated in a relatively few pockets, but five years hence I predict that the "grey" agenda (or "gray", depending where you're ageing/aging) will have gained the same prominence that the...
